Humpty Dumpty Association Newsletter: Volume 5, No.1

President's Message

Dear Members and Friends

This is the official newsletter of the Humpty Dumpty Association (HDA). We hope you find it informative.

P.A.G.E. - Is the name our Newsletter

The letters P.A.G.E. are an acronym formed from the initial letters in the words of our trademark slogan, Protect A Good Egg®. The name reflects our desire to maintain a direct focus upon that which has been our mission from the beginning: prevention of traumatic brain injuries.

HDA has continued to grow. Here are some highlights of what we've been doing to prevent TBIs.

Safety Programs & Public Service Announcements

From January to December of 2004, many safety programs were conducted. Public Service Announcements (PSA) were created for Family Radio WFME and aired in the Metro New York and New Jersey area.

Our injury prevention efforts are focused on preventing tramatic brain injuries (TBI).

WB11 Morning News Show with Larry Hoff

On May 28 2004, WB11 television co-host larry Hoff, conducted a live segment of his morning show in the parking lot of Berkeley Aquatic Club, Berkeley Heights, N. J.

Mr. Hoff was at Berkeley Aquatic to interview Julius Carallo, a swimming instructor and founder of the Humpty Dumpty Association. Through his association Mr. Carallo trains clowns to perform safety programs in public venues. The association's   safety clowns teach children about brain injury pervention.

Mr. Carallo created the Humpty Dumpty Association to honor the memory of his son Paul. who was murdered in l990.

WB11 was on location with Mr. Carallo and other safety clowns between 6 and 9a.m. on the Friday that BoZo the Clownwas inducted into the Clown Hall of Fame.

Kings To Center Rings A Historical Clown Show

Humpty Dumpty Association earns a Union County HEART Grant from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders for thecreation of King To Cewnter Rings, A Historical Clown Show.

Child Safety Seat Promotion

During 2004, the famous Joe Franklin of “Memory Lane” and Hugo Bianco continue to help in getting our public service announcements broadcast on many radio stations in the tri-state area. Through this radio exposure, we mailed out many “child safety seat installation” brochures.

New Volunteers Help To Promote Humpty Dumpty Association

We received the help of two wonderful people, Ewart Newton of BlueSky360 and Cindy Coppa, a writer, whose now-grown daughter once participated in our safety programs. Ewart is designing our new website and Cindy is our writer.

Chips Entertains At The Rainforest Café

In keeping with the youthful spirit of the Humpty Dumpty Association, every Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. “Chips” the safety clown entertains at the Rainforest Café in Menlo Park , NJ This weekly program brings joy to many people. It also brings awareness of our organization's safety efforts to parents with young children.

Your continued support gives Humpty Dumpty the fuel that helps lower the number of brain injuries.

May you always enjoy the blessings of health.

Sincerely,

Julius Carallo

President
