Preventing Brain Injuries

The Humpty Dumpty Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  We are dedicated to preventing brain injuries and we also promote creative thinking.

Why TBI Prevention Education is Needed

A medical research center in Seattle has estimated that the lifetime cost for one person with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is $4,500,000.

TBI's have become a national epidemic.  140,000 people die and over 500,000 people are injured severely enough to require hospitalization.  Two-thirds of these victims are under the age of 30.

Most brain injuries can be prevented!

National Safety Council Awards

The Humpty Dumpty Association has received seven awards from the National Safety Council for outstanding programs that prevent injuries, save lives, and lessen economic loss.

A Memorial to Paul D. Carallo

Julius and Arlene Carallo, RN, founded the Humpty Dumpty Association in 1991 as a lasting memorial to their son, Paul D. Carallo, and those who were injured by preventable traumatic brain injury or killed by acts of hatred.
